Photos from Africa

I am doing well.  Malawi is great!!  It is a lot different than Zambia.  I am serving in Sunnyside.  Sunnyside is a suburb of Blantyre.   We left for Blantyre Malawi on Monday. It was an eight hour drive to Lilongwe from Zambia.  The sun sets around five and rises at around five.  So, we spent the night in Lilongwe.  While I was in Lilongwe I worked with Elder Shultz. We left from Lilongwe and headed to Blantyre on Thursday.  President Padovich went back to Zambia on Thursday, so we rode to Blantyre with the Bullocks.  We had to drive two cars to Blantyre. I found out that I was driving one of them to Blantyre.   I can now drive a standard shift.  It was a quick lesson and a five hour drive to Blantyre.  I was proud of myself because I never killed the engine once!
The geography is different here, for example, everything is built on mountain side.  As a result, I find myself climbing up three mountains, twice over in one day.  It can be a bit tiring at time, however I am get a pretty good work our doing it.
The climate here cooler than Zambia, and it feels more like the fall weather back home in Utah.  For example, is warm during the day and gets cool during the nights.  Right now the rainy season just ended and it is now as the Chiperoni.  Chiperoni is a Malawian term for a kind of drizzle rain.
Thing are expensive here.  I was a bit surprised.   The economy here is unstable and prices fluctuate daily.
I am working more in the villages.  It is so amazing here.  I am now learning to speak Chichewa.  It is similar to Nyanja but different at the same time.  However, I am picking it up pretty quickly.
